Update 12-16-22: Correction from Jon C:
"The location for this motel is incorrect. It is not in Wakefield, MI. The postcard says, "8 miles So. of Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. Corner of US 2 and M-28. US-2 and M-28 had an intersection at this location years ago. US-2 was realigned in 1957 and was replaced by what eventually became I-75. The present intersection is S. Mackinac Trail and M-28, just east of exit 386 on I-75. Mackinac Trail is old US-2. Google street view and satellite both confirm the building is still there at the SW corner of the intersection. It looks like a private residence now."
This all checks out, thanks to Jon for straightening me out on this one. The old vs current road designations do get confusing.
