This pizza place goes back to the 1950's and it was quite the hangout for the time. I found some ads in the old high school yearbooks on it. A retrospective article in the Clarkston News indicates Tally-Ho was near the site of Red Knapp (formerly Alexander's) which used to sit between what is (as of 2023) Bowman Chevrolet and Deer Lake Cleaners. The Red Knapp building was last known as Lakes before it was demolished sometime around 2016.
I might as well use this entry to document all of these joints as they were so close together. So, looking back, there were 2 smallish buildings right on the road back in the early days. I suspect Tally-Ho was in one of those. Those were wiped out and the building Alexander's, Red Knapp's and Lakes were built on was set back from Dixie Hwy. That was also wiped out and as of 2023 the land is part of Bowman's lot. As an aside, there are 2 Red Knapp's still operating as of 2023, one in Oxford and the other in Rochester.
