The Drake was on what call "motel row" in Royal Oak on Woodward north of 12 mile Rd. There were several motels in a row along that stretch, all dating back to the 50's and 60's. I believe I have identified the lot correctly by comparing the historical aerial photo to the one old postcard I found. I assume the owners of the Capri were the same people as the postcard was a combo of the 2 motels on 1 card. The motel was demolished between 2002 and 2005. The lot is basically empty as of 2023 although it is used to sell plants and outdoor items. The address doesn't really exist today but 2338 is the lot now.

It turns out the Dunes was also at 2324 Woodward so I have added the postcard for that. It is basically identical in motif to the Drake but the name was changed on the sign. I am not sure which name was used first.

It turns out the Motel Berkley was also at 2324 Woodward so I have added the postcard for that. The building in the postcard rendering looks different to me but the address is the same. I would say this is the earliest incarnation of the place.
